Tribute to Mary Fedden

Mary Fedden is one of my favourite contemporary artists and I felt that I wanted to do some pictures which were inspired by her lovely paintings. I always love her stripey curtains so I had i
to include them - Alie says the pictures make her think of Aldeburugh which makes me glad. Her work will be greatly missed!

Ice creams & Summer!

I didn't realise how long it had been since I last blogged... Hope you like them.... These are just a few of several pictures I've done lately.

An expression of my love of old boxes and crates with flowers in.

Just a collection of wild flowers from particularly lovely bits of fabric!

This was based on a Mason's Iron Stone jug & bowl.

This is a design for my lovely friend Carol's wedding invitation.

Last summer we tool Delilah to Wivenhoe one day & there was a lady selling delicious home-made ice cream on the quay - it inspired this picture & a few others that are being created at the moment!

Spring is nearly here...

I was very happy with my christmas sheep picture so decided to do a non-winter version.

While munching on a slice of bread & honey the other day, I thought it was time to do another honey & bees picture. I couldn't quite fit all the picture onto the scanner but hope you get the idea!

As I've been thinking about & watching flowers coming up in the garden & all around, I felt like doing a kind of flower sampler showing different shapes of the way flowers grow!

I love gardens with bold buckets, bread bins, pots etc., being used to put flowers & plants in so here are two old buckets with a variety of flowers in them. - Hope you enjoy them x
